We are working with our domain and website providers to maintain the same website addresses. We intend to have one website covering both surgeries.
Why are we merging with a surgery that is not immediately local?
Both surgeries have been owned and operated by the same partnership since 2019. Since this time we have been combining our operations and utilising our resources across both surgeries.
Is this just a cost cutting exercise?
This merger is to combine our NHS contracts. This will reduce considerable duplication of back office work and enable us to improve focus on delivery of services and patient care.
Will Taverham Surgery retain its dispensary.
Yes, However, it will only be able to dispense to patients in the Taverham catchment area that meet the criteria. i.e. Taverham patients will not see any change.
Can patients attend either surgery?
To ensure fair availability of services we would expect patients to attend the surgery whose catchment area they fall within. We do plan to offer some long-term conditions clinics that will be available to patients from either surgery.
